Historical Lecture Series

The second Thursday of the month historical lecture series continues at 7:00 pm at the Carson Valley Museum and Cultural Center in Gardnerville. The museum and Main Street Book Store open at 6:30 pm and remain open following the one hour presentations.

Upcoming speakers are: 

October 9: Laurie and Shannon Hickey will present a panel telling ghost stories of Carson Valley.

November 13: Mike Makley will review his most recent book “Who Stole Silver Mountain?” Mr. Makley previously presented his book “Lucky Bill” at the lecture series. 

December 11: Nevada native and author, photographer Stanley Paher will be the speaker. He has written several books about Nevada and surrounding areas which are available at the Main Street Bookstore and would make great Christmas gifts.
